The miracle of life within the depths of the Earth lies at the heart of my work.
Where all seems silent, dark, motionless… a spark emerges, and life appears. A pure, mineral life—quiet yet powerful—that gives birth to perfect forms and timeless colors.
In the Japanese tradition of garden design, it is said that stones have a soul, a face. The art of the landscaper lies in listening to this silent voice, in sensing the inner breath of the stone, to place it in space as one would honor a sacred presence. That deep reverence, that dialogue with stillness, also guides my hand when I draw.
Stones endure through centuries without changing. They carry within them a truth that remains unaltered. Their face persists beyond time, and the emotion they awaken in me may one day touch the hearts of others. Like the gardener, I seek that soul, that hidden breath, that mystery.

Today, this quest has led me to the very substance of color. I have turned to natural pigments, drawn from the earth and plants, as if they held an ancient memory. In Japan, I discovered the art of nihonga, which fills me with wonder and speaks to me deeply. In this sacred art, the gesture is humble, silent—almost a prayer. Each color is born as an offering to the Earth. To paint in this way is to commune with the invisible.

And Lonsdale replied: “I am searching for something beautiful, something perfect.”
The monk answered: “Then you are searching for God.”

Hello, I am Catia, a creative soul passionate about art and beauty. My curiosity has always driven me to explore the wonderful dance of colors and textures. My art is born from the love for nature and the desire to capture the essence of minerals, those little treasures that tell us stories of millions of years.
I am passionately dedicated to creating drawings that pay tribute to the extraordinary variety of shapes and colors that the Earth offers us. Each mineral I draw is a journey, a visual exploration that invites us to take a closer look at the world around us.
But I don't stop there! My hand also moves delicately to create portraits in dry pastel, seeking to capture the soul of those I meet. Each portrait is a silent dialogue, a moment of connection that I hope can convey emotions and tell stories.
